Residential Burglary Alert

Residential Burglary Alert

We want to tell you about the following burglary that’s taken place at a home near you. You’re receiving this alert because you’ve told us you want to know about crime and incidents in your area.

There have been 3 confirmed residential burglaries in the area in the last 24 hours, with a 4th attempted residential burglary, where the thieves fled when they became aware the building was occupied. Two burglaries occurred in Wellesbourne, one in Kineton and one in Radway. Our enquires are underway.

In all cases, in the hours of darkenss, the offenders have tried to force open rear patio doors or windows, smashing glass to gain entry. They conducted untidy searches of the homes looking for jewellery and valuables, some times using a victims pillow case to remove the goods.

We will be putting out extra resources throughout the weekend to conduct patrols in your area for any suspicious vehicles.

It is that time of year again as the dark nights come earlier, we tend to see this rise in burglaries. Please remember to keep doors locked, keep valuables out of view and set house alarms. Please be vigilant for each other.

If you noticed anything suspicious in this area around the time of the incident, please contact Warwickshire Police online or call us on 101.
